Guides

Humber Bay Shores is a historic and scenic part of Etobicoke and is rapidly becoming a trendy destination for those who want easy commuter access to Downtown Toronto while enjoying waterfront living, some of the best views in all of the GTA and the pleasures of leafy green space and recreation.

Living in Humber Bay Shores

Located just to the west of downtown Toronto, Humber Bay is a neighbourhood that truly has a community feel. If you’re a resident there, the chances are you know your neighbours, you see the same people on your morning run, and you have a love of furry friends, just like all of the other dog owners in the area. Humber bay has some of the best dog parks in Etobicoke.

You can also enjoy easy access to the conveniences and entertainments of the city while enjoying a quieter, more natural life next to the lake and parks of the area. Bordered by Mimico Creek and the Humber River Valley, the Humber Bay neighbourhood has become a highly sought-after destination for those looking for more than the bustle of downtown. As the development of luxury condos has lured more and more families and professionals to live here, the neighbourhood has taken on a vibrancy and excitement of its own.

Something else you’ll have that not many in Toronto do, is incredible views. Even in the winter months, it’s easy to fall in love with Toronto from a distance – the warmth of your condo looking out over the lake, watching the flashing lights of the city. You’ll witness some of the best sunrises and sunsets Ontario has to offer, right from your balcony with a glass of wine.

Best Restaurants and Bars in Humber Bay?

If you look up waterfront dining in Toronto, you’re certain to find Eden Trattoria at the top of every list. The patio here has the most incredible views of the Toronto skyline, and the patio cannot be beaten on a warm night. It’s usually bustling from lunch to sunset but having to wait for a spot on the patio is completely worth it. Even in the winter, the views can’t be beaten. We love the custom pizzas and pastas – allowing you to choose exactly what you want and how you want it. We also love that it’s open for breakfast on weekdays, making it a great spot for an early-day meeting.

Looking for a spot to catch the game or meet up with friends for a casual night? You can’t go wrong with The Firkin on the Bay. Daily specials, lots of beers on tap and some of the friendliest bartenders and staff you’ll meet are all found here – if you pop in a few times they’ll definitely remember your name and even your drink order.

Humber Bay Real Estate Market

The influx of condos to Humber Bay area may have some a little frustrated, but some of the buildings and amenities are second-to-none and well-worth investing in. One of our favourite buildings is Eau Du Soleil.

Rising 66 and 49 storeys, the towers of Eau Du Soleil have taken their place in this established community known for its scenic lakefront parks and ample recreation facilities. Designed by the world-renowned Zeidler Partnership and Richmond Architects, the two towers offer phenomenal views and spectacular amenities.

Eau Du Soleil offers serene waterfront living in Humber Bay with every amenity at your doorstep. In addition to breathtaking views of Toronto’s skyline and picturesque sunsets over Lake Ontario, living here means having access to Humber Bay, a nature retreat in the heart of Mimico. Parkland, playgrounds a boardwalk and trails are just some of the outdoor perks available to residents of this community.

A new pre-construction project that’s coming up in Humber Bay is 2150 Lakeshore Boulevard West – the Mr. Christie site redevelopment. More information can be found here – we’re keeping an eye on this one as there will some incredible investment opportunities to come.

2150 Lakeshore

We can see why living at Humber Bay Shores is a destination for young professionals and families. Waterfront living, grocery, restaurants and cafes at your doorstep and a super pet-friendly community make this one of our favourite spots in the city. You’re minutes from downtown Toronto, bordered by Mimico and yet have the lake as your front yard – that’s going to be pretty tough to beat.
