Who Lives Here
With plenty of parks, winding trails, and some of Toronto’s finest schools, Rosedale real estate is the perfect place for families who are looking to settle down and find a place to call home.
Getting Around
Rosedale is a highly walkable neighbourhood, but having a vehicle to get around to other parts of Toronto is valuable, as it is very close to the Don Valley Parkway. Rosedale also has easy commuter access to the subway with two stations within walking distance.
Rosedale Real Estate
Rosedale is populated mainly with Victorian, Georgian, Tudor, and Edwardian-style mansions built between 1860 and 1940, with a fair few listed on the Toronto Historical Board’s Inventory of Heritage Properties. South Rosedale is home to a handful of condo, co-operative, and co-ownership apartments.
Local History Lesson
It’s hard to ignore Rosedale’s charming name. The area was the previous home of Sheriff William Botsford Jarvis, and the name was inspired by his wife Mary’s love of the wild roses which grew all across the estate. They were impossible to ignore, and the name has come to represent Rosedale’s classic and romantic character.
