How to Sell a House in Toronto: A Step-By-Step Guide

We’ll start by setting up a visit to your home for an inspection and evaluation. Before this meeting, I’ll do all of the necessary research on my end and provide recent sales in the neighbourhood that will serve as comparables to your property.

I will do a pre-listing inspection and make any suggestions as to how to increase the value of your home with little investment on your end. I can make recommendations on staging and when to list your home based on the current area competition, seasonality trends and neighbourhood/building trends. We’ll also answer all questions you have and discuss pricing strategies before finalizing the list price together.

Once your home is listed, we will determine an agreed-upon process for showing your home to prospective buyers to ensure you are comfortable. I’ll take into account your work and family situation, so the home-selling process is as hassle-free as possible.

My team and I will create marketing materials and a real estate marketing plan that will be shared with you, and send you any feedback that we receive from showings. Our marketing campaigns include social media, online advertising, network email blasts, direct client and broker calls, brochures, and more. Our real estate marketing programs are tailored to each client and every listing is presented to reflect the target market.

When an offer or offers come in, I will notify you immediately and set up a time to discuss your options either in person or over the phone. All components of the offer will be explained in detail with expertise provided on the validity of the offer.

Once a decision is made, the details will be looked over by your legal representative. If one is required, we have a network of partners who can be a part of the entire closing process. They will oversee the transfer of funds and key exchange. When all documents are finalized and the deal is closed, your home will be sold!
