Why We Love 183 Wellington St W 3403 @ The Ritz Carlton Residences

183 Wellington St W 3403 stopped us in our tracks when we were looking at new listings in Toronto this week. Who doesn’t want to live at The Ritz Carlton Residences? We must have a vacation on our minds because the thought of living at one of the poshest and most luxurious hotels in Toronto had us smiling and dreaming of that hotel-life that we all want to live, even if it’s just for a little #staycation in the city.

Hotel Living at The Ritz-Carlton Residences

Anyone that hears “Ritz-Carlton” knows they’re in for a treat of luxury and sophistication anywhere in the world. The hotel in Toronto is, in one word – stunning. Set in the heart of downtown Toronto, the luxury hotel houses a 400-piece art collection, and the entry lobby is nothing short of impressive.

Imagine hosting guests and they arrive to a bellman greeting them, and directing them to your suite. With five-star amenities available to residents like in-room dining, maid service, the incredible spa and a pool, this would be a perfect place to hole up for the winter. Anyone who works in the downtown core may literally never have to step outside in cold weather because the building is attached to the PATH.

The dining options are endless, so you don’t necessarily always have to depend on room service when you don’t feel like cooking. Toca is the main Ritz in-house restaurant that’s sure to impress. Traditional Italian dishes are prepared nightly with locally sourced, seasonal ingredients. The restaurant, a collaboration with renowned chef Oliver Glowig, is also home to Canada’s only cheese cave. Cheese cave?! If you’re in the mood for a quick after work drink you can visit DEQ, which in the summer is home to a beautiful outdoor lounge.

Luxury in the Sky

On the 34th floor of The Ritz Carlton Residences, you’ll find this stunning 1 bedroom, 2-bathroom suite that sits on the northeast corner providing not only an impressive view but a ton of light from the floor to ceiling windows. At slightly under 1400 square-feet, the layout is very well done to take advantage of entertaining where the view is the best.

The kitchen has been decked out in nothing but the best – top of the line Wolf and Subzero appliances and Bellini kitchen cabinets. The island, although on the smaller side, does house a wine fridge and seats two for a great breakfast bar. Another stunner is the herringbone flooring, which you don’t see too often in condos.

It’s a fabulous touch, along with the fireplace – we can absolutely see ourselves warming up by the fire watching the first snow of the season fall over Toronto. The large master bedroom includes a marble 5 piece ensuite and a large walk-in closet.

To Live or To Invest

Although this condo is currently traditionally furnished, we really like the blank slate is provides for any homeowner. It can easily be transitioned into an uber-modern suite with the addition of some bold furniture pieces and statement artwork. This is also a fantastic condo investment opportunity in one of the best locations and hotels in Toronto – rentals at The Ritz Residences are in high demand so if you’re looking to add a piece of a 5-star hotel to your investment portfolio, this could be the unit for you.
